MORE VIDEOS? I appreciate that so many people have asked for more videos but I have no immediate plans to make more, for several reasons.
    • I’m supposed to be retired!
    • I don’t have a staff - It’s just me.
    • It was just a hobby and I wasn’t prepared for this many views.
    • I can’t answer all the questions and then I feel bad for not helping.
    • Now I feel bad for not making more!

Thank you for all the love and appreciation. I will try to find time to make more but it won’t be for a while. Many questions are answered in my website FAQs and I continue to post new recipes there. - always free/no ads. Love you guys!

Wish I'd have seen this series as you were releasing it. Wonderful stuff Jenny. I think we should invade Poland and take their women. We're letting all the wrong people in this country... 🤔😊 My mother was a legendary Italian cook, but her food was designed to keep her only son single by making him fat.. lolz I joined the military and had them fly me all the way to Germany to get away from it.

She sent me a care package of her xmas baking & I gave it to a random couple on the base. Those people said hi to me every time I saw them after that and they asked how my mother was. lolz. She put her spell on them too & it was from thousands of miles away. Your recipes are more 'sustainable'..

Nothing beats the Original Way to cook and instructions, like the fat part of it and using lard instead of olive oil, which adds so much to the taste and in fact no mushrooms are used in the original recipe at all, so basically you did not listen to your dads way of cooking the right Polish Cabbage rolls at all, mushrooms please ??i

My mom was 100% Polish so I grew up eating these. She made them a bit different but overall the same principle. Big difference was she always made a huge batch in a Dutch oven also hers cooked low and slow all day. I make mine in the crock pot. I tried to make mine in the instant pot and yuck, there are some things that cannot be rushed. We also prefer the nice, thick tomato topping. My mom passed in 1986 but whenever I make this, the aroma in the house makes me feel like she's alive and in the kitchen cooking. I don't know if all Polish moms were like her but my mom was the best cook there ever was. I sure do miss her cooking!

My grandmom used to make these, and as a kid I thought it always smelled funky, but as an adult I could eat these 3x a day. Being from Camden, NJ the Polish people there used to use Campbell's Tomato Soup since that was where the factory was.

Those old timers wanted all that fat and butter etc BECAUSE they worked hard labor jobs (more than we do today for sure) THEY needed that fat, we don't.

These are the best cabbage rolls I have ever made. I also don't like all the tomato sauce. But i did put some Sauerkraut around the inside like on top. It was delicious. Love all your food Jenny, who knew? Your the best.

Always use lard and always use meats with medium fat content, that way the meat is moist and cooked perfectly in the rolls and we make sauerkraut, which is pickled cabbage and pork and veal mince meat to make the cabbage rolls and also a smoked harm hock goes in and also bacon bones, really depending on how much smoke flavour you want, its that simple and of course Gruh as well, using pork sausages and lima beans with long green peppers, with a little ring paste near the end, to help thicken the soup. :)

I precook the rice first. Put tomato sauce over the top with sprinkles of flour to thicken sauce and juices. If you precook the meat and
rice first, then cooking time can be less.

I'm lazy, so I'll make lazy man cabbage "rolls". Just chop up the raw cabbage, boil it, and mix it in with your precooked stuffing. Make some mashed potatoes, spread it the plate, pour your "cabbage rolls" on top of it. Garnish with Hurta.
