Ha! It does not matter anymore. Donot pay anyone! They donot have to because they will not be in Superbowl contention for the next 7-8 years at least. Everyone (stars) sees that playing for them you won't get paid your worth. Once you get drafted by Cowboys holdout and play for someone else. I would not want to play for them!

if defense wins championships then you shouldn't bet on your running game to carry you through this the playoffs. Not to say you don't need the running game though but you don't need the crazy best running back in the league sometimes. you just need a running game. I played running back but I throwing passes and trust me I'd rather throw a pass and have to run it. But the reality is you need a running game and a quarterback not a quarterback game and a running back. Okay now make your decisions based on can they work together. And can you afford it. You saw what happened to the NBA and the Golden State Warriors sometimes even big clubs can't afford everything and have to worry about the future. Fixed that for you.
Picking Elliot in the top 10 was already a monumentally stupid move, and it was called out by anyone who knows football at the time.
Running the ball is a lot worse than passing the ball in all but 3 situations:
- When you're ahead at the end of the game and you want to run the clock,
- When it's third and short, and
- When you're very close to the endzone.
Elliot is at best mediocre in those 3 situations, and in every other situation it's just a bad idea to run the ball. I understand you need to run in order to establish play actions and keep the defense guessing, but you're in essence paying a ridiculous amount to a decoy. Plus, RBs are very high risk and very low reward, their impact is nothing (in the running game) compared to your off linemen and tight ends and there really isn't much difference in output between a good running back and an average one.
To put it simply, paying big bucks to RBs is just ridiculously stupid.

Chris Carter was no Michael Irvin. Irvin is the 2nd best receiver to ever play, behind only Jerry Rice.

Enough of all this Zeke is the best player on the team. Irrelevant as it pertains to Dak who's only going into his 4th year and everybody talks like he's been in the league for 7 to 8yrs. The reality is Dak as performed and put his team in position to win games and has taken them to the playoffs twice in the last 3yrs.
